Im closing up shop
Hey all! I have been so busy with my Photography Bizz ....my 9-5 job... and my book... and this blog? I chose to cut something out. and with that I have decided to say goodbye to you all. While blogging is fun and awesome I do not want to spend ALL my time on a computer. Also I was having some privacy issues last year and kinda came out of it... but now? Here they are again and so hey I am done. I am done. Sorry. But I doubt I get very many readers so.... not sorry? Lol if you do read my blog let me know I am only setting it to private. cause I will still want to document some stuff I am sure It's For Family and Friends that I LOVE I will add you. Everyone else? You can check out my photography site to see what I am working on or what not.
Its time.
So although I really do not get readers...
its private coming in a week or so.
LOTS OF LOVE,
Kayla

We like to get pumpkins this time of year.
Robby found this CUTE little pumpkin patch right here in Davis and it was the best one we have been to these four years! We both agreed.
I am obsessed with Fall/Halloween and so we have made it a family tradition to do the whole pumpkin patch deal. Last year was sad because we we too busy to go :( but never again! I also am so obsessed with Halloween/Fall that I make Robby dress up! We always have and always WILL right Robert? RIGHT.
When we were dating I was an angel and Robert a Vampire (we did not know about Twilight yet BTW)
When we first got married the ward we were in did not have a party and we were sad... but Robby worked like every day all day so I went to my parents house and passed out Candy with my Best Friend Anj and watched scary movies... we both dressed as Vampires (twilight yes...) I actually got a boy pretty good that year. He thought I was a dummy and came up to get candy from the bowl on my lap and when I moved the bowl to his hand he screamed... probably because I smiled all creepy like too... HA BEST EVER.
Then the next year we lived in Roseville, and Robby quit his jobs (YES! It was about time) So we were able to go to the Trunk or Treat and Robert is/was still getting used to having to dress up, and my amazing Sis in Law got me a kimono from Japan and Robert too so we dressed up as Mulan and some Japanese guy (robert) ha.
Last year we were in Davis (LOVE IT HERE) and I was a queen cause the costume was easy and awesome and cheap. Robert was Clark Kent and I was that for work, like two years ago and he liked it and I always call him super man anyways. So we were that.
So my point in telling you all this?
Well... Robby is actually starting to understand he needs to dress up in a costume, so he is getting a little more creative... and this year he already had a plan... and it is awesome.. and I have my costume... and I am SO EXCITED.
Happy Fall/Halloween time.
Hope you are able to get some pumpkins too!

I wish I had cable so I could watch Vampire Diaries. Yes, I am one of those people. Do not judge I gave up all vampire stuff after Twilight... other than this :)

Robert said I needed a new program more than a lens! WHAT? I was like no no no!

Come listen to his voice
So I am a member of:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
Most of you know us as the: "Mormons" Because we believe the Book Of Mormon to be the word of God as well as the King James Version of the Bible.
Anyways...
This weekend is special for us. We believe in modern day Prophets. We believe that God calls prophets today just as he did back in the olden days of the Bible.
The prophet that has been called in this "Latter-Day" Is:
Thomas S. Monson
We also believe in Aposles like the ones in Jesus's day (Peter, James and John)
and This weekend they are all going to speak to us.
The amazing and incredible thing about our heavenly Father (God) is that He loves us so much today, just like in Moses, Abraham, Noah and all those guys day that he still calls prophets to help guide us. We can have confirmation of what they say; that it is true by asking God.
I have prayed and I have asked God in the past if Thomas S. Monson is his prophet. I can tell you this; That I know he is God's prophet on this earth today. I know it. Even as I typed that I felt the spirit testify to me of its truth.
So...
This is called General Conference, and it's kinda a big deal (way big deal) I can not wait to listen to all their words and be filled.
With the election coming up here SOON and a "Mormon" as a canidate people are getting to know more about us and ask more questions and that is great! Ask anything you want! I love to talk about Heavenly Fathers amazing plan for his children, and what I belive in.
Happy Friday! Hope you have a great weekend!

Life is so precious
On Friday morning my family woke to some tragic news.
My cousin lost her husband yesterday morning. Leaving behind his wife and two children.
As I sat in horror that morning as I discovered such tragic and life changing news the only thing I kept repeating to myself and to my Mom who had just got the call was: "No, no he can not have died" I laid in be for a while letting that reality hit me.
Those of you who know me and my family know my mom. My mother lost her parents when she was only 4 years old. Both her parents died in a plane crash. My mom is the strongest person I have ever met. She gives me strength every day. But from her experience, I know that my cousin and her children can make it.
I am sad to think this happened, sad and horrified and incapable to imagine what pain my cousin must be feeling at this moment.
As I mourn with her and my family, if you could keep her in your prayers our family would be ever grateful.
The only thing I can think of that makes this situation at all bearable is to know that my cousin and her beautiful little family have all been sealed together, for all eternity. I am so grateful for Heavenly Fathers loving plan for all of his children. How precious to know that death is not the end, and that we will see those loved ones we lost again someday.
My mother held onto this truth her whole life, she knows she will meet her parents again someday, because she was sealed to them too. And myself? Well I look forward to the day I can meet them too, the day I can finally thank them for bringing my amazing and incredible mother into this world.
Life has its challenges, I am just grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful I am sealed to my husband for time and all eternity. I know that this life is such and incredible gift. I was reminded of that yesterday.
So hold your loved ones a little closer. Never leave with out saying I love you. You never know when you will speak your last words to the ones you love. This life is so short; yet beautiful and incredible.
To my cousin I pray God will be with you in your time of need. I pray his angels will surround you and lift you up because while you know this everlasting truth, it does not change the fact that you will mourn him, and miss him, and I am so sorry for this pain, so ever sorry for your incredible loss, for it is indeed so great.
